Just wondering...
Do the Pony Rod Seals on a F-1000 both face the same way to keep oil in the Gear End Instead of turning the opposite way to keep water out like the old Opis that had a cooling box built inside the pump?

Permalink Reply by richard scott blackmore on November 16, 2012 at 11:29pm if you will look its self explanitory, the plates that hold the seals have weep holes in them, that face down and make the water go back in the rod box, and the oil go back in the gear end, the last f-1000 i worked on had three seals and a lantern ring between each, they were sweet pumps hardly ever had to work on them
