Levi, the best way to determine how much torque your drilling with is to take an off bottom torque. Minus that number from the torque your see when your on bottom drilling.
So if your 8000 ft/lbs (off bottom, or "free rotating torque") your bit is actually seeing 0 ft/lbs (or very minimal torque)
Once you apply wob and your torque reaches 14,000 ft/lbs you would be seeing 6000 ft/lbs at the bit.
This is very common practice in extended reach drilling. Hopefully this helps you out.
Well for one you have to know what Plc program you have and on a FDS in low is only 90% of what you see on the screan and 75% or 80% in high
