NE Pennsylvania Oil Field Wives and Girlfriends

I see a lot of moving vans throughout the three counties I travel so I know you're out there! Anyone moving to NEPA and in or around the three counties of Bradford, Susquehanna or Wyoming (possibly others given the amount of interest), I am thinking about getting a group together of NE PA transplants. Either PM me or leave a comment if you are interested.

My roughneck hubby and I have lived here for two years now and know a few other families of the patch and how important it can be to have contact with others when you move to a new area.

Well, once I know where I'm going with this, and see how it works out, maybe I can relay some tips on how to set up a similar network over your way - check the members, I seem to remember at least one person being in SWPA - maybe Brandy Drake(?), but might be wrong on that. How long have you lived here Danielle and where did you move from?

yes we are out here but didn't know about this site until today. I am in williamsport (loyalsock) area. I have been here for just about a year now. Its been a long haul with no family or anyone to talk to that really understands the life of an oilfield workers wife.

I swear I thought I replied to you yesterday... who knows? Either I forgot to save it or got "look there's a kitty" syndrome and there it went. Williamsport is a couple hours away from where I am at, but that doesn't mean I don't make it over that way once in awhile.

I saw Lesa wrote you on your post today and she is to the South of you. Anna and I have met off-forum and her and her family are amazing and really nice people. Maybe we can pick a point where all of us could meet in the middle over the next couple of months and go from there? We all know how hard it is explaining to people our husband's jobs, and like Lesa, I often find myself dealing with anti-drill people. (FYI Lesa - I think once the hoopla is over in New York over the Environmental Impact Statement, much of the insanity about drilling and fracing will start lessening)
