New, Just found this group.

Hello Ladies,

 So glad I found this group. I have been looking for a while now. I'm new to the Houston area. We moved here in Sept of 08. and My husband has been working off-shore as an operater,since Nov of 08. "WOW".  I thought it would be easier to handle. We have been married for 13 years and have two young boys. My husband has always had work that has taken him away from home, so I thought this would be easy to take but this is all new to me. I have read other ladies on here say how people just don't understand......And they don't. My husband was working a 14 and 14 for two years and the kids and I ajusted to the schedule. The teachers at my boys schools said they always knew when my husband was coming home because the boys would have big smiles and be extra happy. Now he is working a 7 and 7 out of Venice,LA, so we really only get 5 days with him but he has been working over, so we get 5days and work gets 3 wks. I myself find it easier to stay in my house and not make new frineds because I get tired of people always talking about my husband being gone, like I don't know and always talking about the danger. My husband loves his job and to make it easier for him,we never talk about things from home when he is out on the water. That way he worried about work and stays safe, he has plenty of time to worry about home when he is here.

 Anyways, I could go on forever but I won't. It's just great to know that there are other ladies that do understand and now I have a place to share life's happiness and frustrations.
