Comment by Kristen on April 11, 2012 at 3:23pm Stacy - who does your husband work for? Is the company he is working for taking taxes out of his check or did you just get a 10-99? When my husband work overseas we used an account out of vernal utah - HR Block even though we live in wyoming because he specialized in overseas taxes. You will for sure need to know the exact amount of days your husband spent out of country and if he has any residency paperwork in that country will also affect your taxes. If you would like I will get the accounts name and number for you.
Comment by Stacy Lindberg on April 11, 2012 at 9:45am K ladies need help with the taxes thing we have a CPA but last year was my hubby first year on an out of country land rig in Algeria and after months of fighting we finally got our Tax certificate written in arabic and all figures are in dinars instead of dollars but all that can be translated but what we can't figure out is how to use the document or how to file it with the rest of the taxes if you ladies can give me a place to contact or a way to get started I'd be most grateful.

Oil Field Men... Oil field men do have the pleasure of kissing their children goodnight or sleeping with their wife every night, they often miss out on holidays and birthdays, sometimes not even being able to say goodbye to a loved one in the dyeing hour. An oilfield man willingly goes to a "floating prison" for weeks where he must work everyday because there are no sick days or playing hooking. He eats at a scheduled time or he doesn't eat at all. He works in dangerous weather from hurricanes to sandstorms because the job must be done. Why would anyone do this? because a oilfield man is selfless! Facing long hard hours knowing that he will be uncomfortable, strained, pushed to his limit, and beyond tired. They are often degraded by the superiors who yell, scream, and cuss at them more and more as the weeks go by.He has to bite his tongue and swallow his pride recalling that the pictures that are in his hard hat or in his locker are the reason he doesn't quit. Over half of his time dedicated to his rig while his heart is at home. An oilfield man endures the days in a 8x8 room counting down the days until he has his kids in his arms and his wife by his side. An oilfield man puts those he loves before himself. It's not only true love but selfless love and genuine concern for their family's future. I Love my oilfield man!
