im a fourth generation oil field hand raised in Forsan Texas. love seeing the cable tool rigs thats how all the older wells were hammered out here.anyone else from an old boomtown post some pics if you got them anyone heard of Four Sands.they shortened the name a long time ago.they would punch a hole nitro it and let it rip some of the wells drilled in the late twenties and early thirties are still producing.my great grandad was a roustabout back then they did everything --ground to the crown--rake to the brake --and all points in between.
