Permalink Reply by Cory McDonald on May 3, 2011 at 11:42pm I was just on SST 53 down by Cheyenne doing directional work that was down by Cheyenne. I was talking to a Chesapeake Co. Man that said the same thing as Tony was saying in that there is going to be 18-20 rigs down by Cheyenne drilling the Niobrara by the middle part of June. The company I work for has been contracted to do the directional work on 9 rigs down in that area.
As soon as they get the Niobrara figured out completely there are going to be more rigs than people know what to do with as long as the government stays out of it.

Permalink Reply by William Cawley on August 15, 2012 at 11:49pm I'm in bulk materials with Halliburton in Casper, and from what i have heard, most of the play is shifting away from Cheyenne and moving more towards Douglas. Chesapeake is going like hell out there as well as EOG and Samson, with Devon on all of their heels.
