World Oilfield Forum

Month of May and June up the D road early evening after a rain. Still just a little heat from the day. Sun is starting to set you can smell the wet grass and sage brush in the air very heavy. A metal lark is singing in the distance and if you listen very careful you could hear a cow hauler off and then really listen you could hear an old Ajax motor popping off.

You guys take it from here;

On the way to camp you run over a coyote.

I know, Right? But at least Tony found my license plate.
Racing the antelope on the way to and from the rig, drillin up on the Pitchfork and having your derrick hand tell ya he can't mix any lcm till the bear gets away from the mud float
Ha! Bear's! Get one of the worm's to feed the bear there samich! Would by fun to watch! The sunset's! Im in Montana..But hey..just made up line's on a map right? Oh..And the 150 plus inch muledeer in my yard..hehe. But anyway, The sunset's..I have seen some of the best in Oklahoma..But since I moved up here..It really is hard to beat.
Yep yep!!!!
Yea your right about Wy, it all that and the extreme cold you see in air in the winter i like and I love too watcth the Elk and Moose and most of all gap betweem people.
Early spring and late fall in the Uinta's and in the Wind River range. Dawn and dusk in the derrick. Beautiful sky and scenery, fresh air, big country with room where a man has room to breathe. You can feel the touch of God upon your soul.

Kinda like that in eastern Montana sans the mountain scenery.
The mornings in early spring and fall when there is moisture in the air and you can smell the sagebrush really strong. Driving down deserted highways late at night and not seeing a car for hours. Dead of Winter in the middle of the night the feel of the steam heater from the rig floor plus the frost from your breath and the sky so black and clear it seems like your can touch the stars. Of course the wild life but most of all the independent strong willed, never quit people who live here.
strong willed independant people,, you said there buddy... wyoming is where people hold the door for you even if youre a man... people pull over to aid even if you arent broke down... they pick up their own trash & mind their own business as long as you mind yours...im not gona say where im originaly from becouse i would like to just be from wyoming.. ive been here for 10 years & i love it here... my kids call it home & im thankful for that... STAR VALLEY WYOMING,,,,,they can burry me there...
DRIVING TO WORK WHEN THE 80 IS COVERED IN ICE AND THE WIND IS BLOWING 60 MILE AN HOUR.
Yes and hauling an empty rail van and sailing off the highway before and after Elk Mountain...
