They were getting ready to move, not drilling. They got very lucky no one was hurt

From what I've gathered the rigs computer had been malfunctioning, and crowned out a little while ago. I spoke with a Toolpusher on another rig nearby, and he said that the computer pulled it down. Pretty crazy that this was caused by a computer error...

I thought computers were suppose to make us safer?? Thank god no one was hurt!! Can we get a thumbs up for the new high tech computers?? I believe there's nothing like the feel of a true brake handle!!

It is located right by a busy highway, so it is getting alot of looks. WOW, very crazy.

i can name a whole slew of people that are blackballed from nabors for speaking their mind, and some for being on the wrong crew at the wrong time

worked on doubles and triples in the late 80s early 90s. talked about computer drilling back then. glad there was a hand on the brake then, several times had to stop lowering derrick for one reason or another. would a computer of known to stop???????
