Blocks On The Floor- Rig 149

The dogknot came out of the drum 3 gerts up (wormy evening tour driller) didn't roll up enough drilling line,nobody got hurt,but I had to drag a line up the derrick to pull it back down.

"We were still rigging up,and the bushings jumped out of the rotory table,and yes it did happen.open the pipe This rig is the same one that the same driller forgot to open the pipe rams after testing the BOP and pulled it in."

Say Bro! Not sure how we haven't crossed paths. Same age as you and worked around the West Central Tx area a long time! Used to work for a guy named Dale Pritchard out of Stamford when i was working derricks for Wylie Drilling. Had an evenin tower driller named Tommy Swetman out of Stamford. First time i met him he relieved me at the board while we were coming out of the hole. He climbed to the board without the derrick climber with a cast on his leg up to his knee! True Roughneck! He told me go ahead and take the climber back down, he would be OK, but i slid down the deadline and left it for him! hA!

I'm trying to figure out how I don't know you. I come from Rule, TX but moved to Barnett Shale( Brock TX) 3 yrs ago, when I went to Drilling Supt. for Nabors. My brother Todd runs the John Deere house in Stamford now. You probably know spider monkey aka Greg Thornton. He's a friend of mine. Back in the day i was roughnecking and Monk was running casing for D&D tong. I'm consulting now working down here on the Mexican border. There is another Charlie Brown from Hawley that used to roughneck for me when I pushed for Nabors.I graduated from haskell and am 47. I seen that Stamford and thought I'd say whassup.

not plannin on drivin yet,we stacked out on the 5th and was told it will be 4-6 weeks so i'm gonna be on salary for a while if it slows too much I may get with our michigan office and see if they need help in pa. i hear they are having trouble finding help up there
