Things seem to be becoming more permanent

Well, I've been in Texas nearly a full year and I'm starting to feel it. When i originally followed my man down here it was temporary as we were to go back to Newfoundland, my home. However because the oilfield is the farthest thing from predictable my man is now interviewing for a permanent position here. He says this company operates out of newfoundland (which it does) and that when something opens up he can move within the company. New to site, new to Houston. Following my man from Canada has turned out to be hard.

Hey everyone! I am so glad i stumbled upon this site yesterday. the past few weeks I have been having a hard time coping with the uncertainty that is the oil BIZ. This might be a long one. My boyfriend of 2 1/2 years does not work shift work offshore, he mostly works in the office, unless he works projects.
