Marker Bed in the Niobrara

Faded as my memory is, I think there used to be a marker bed in NW Colorado that was pretty extensive where they called the Niobrara top.  It was pink laths of feldspar sprinkled in the shale. Anyone recall such a marker bed?  I wonder if it goes into NE Co as well.See More
