I grew up in Treescity.La and was raised by a Driller.I am told the best driller. My dad use to take me along to check wells and i must have been pretty young as i recall standing up in the seat of his truck as we drove around all the dirt roads thru the boonies. I loved going with him and would climb up on latters right behind him to ckeck some sort of tank. The guy in my pic is a friend that worked under my dad.His dad owned the company. He tells me daddy worked him to death (almost).
My brother also went to work with him as soon as he was old enough. I moved to houston in 84 and in 88 i started working for FMC Wellhead where i met my late husband. He transferred to Alaska and pretty much lived in Prudoe Bay , I and the kids lived in Anchorage. I did get to take one trip up there in the co. truck.i love oilwells and anything to do with them. I even miss hearing this popping sound thru the La. pine trees they would make late at night.would love to get some pictures of the old dog houses.Does anyone know what those are? just curious! Mom was from Blanchard,OK.
