About Me

My name is Thomas, but everybody knows me by Hopsing. I have been in the oilfield for close to 20 years, most of it in HSE (yes I am one of them that everybody talks about lol), ya'll know what I mean. Sayings like "oh s*** here comes the safety man", "everybody look busy", etc. I worked in the GOM for many years and worked international for several years. I have worked in Singapore, Qatar, India and Libya. I worked offshore most of my career until I went to Libya, it was a big change going from water to sand. I am now working back in the USA for Oxy, USA in the Mid Continent Business Unit. I have been married for 30 years and have 3 children. We have 2 boys (both work in the oil patch) and a daughter. We are into german shepherd dogs, bengal cats and of course LSU (Geaux Tigahs!).
