Old Cable Tool Rig

This old-timer is at Loco Hills, New Mexico, and from what I could see, is mostly a Clark Machine Company, Wichita Falls, Texas, with a few Fort Worth Well Machinery and Supply Company pieces on it, and an inline 6 cylinder Le Roi gas engine. Rust and rot are pretty slow in SE New Mexico.  A stripper well operator near here told me his best wells were cable tool drilled.  Underbalanced drilling at its best...…See More
