Just a prediction...............When the sages of the Potomac get thru throwing their weight around, the outcome will be that any well drilled in the deep GOM, or possibly in any federal waters, will require an identical relief well to be drilled just short of TD simultaneously.
This prediction took a lot of thinking on my part, and will now require a much needed nap.

Deepwater Horizon Blowout
If they where using a Hydril preventer to displace the well to sea water and the riser was full of mud, you have to know that the well pressure is pushing the Hydril bag up in closed position. Even when the pressure is released from the closing unit.
When the pressure on top of the Hydrill bag is higher then the pressure under the bag it will start opening and leaking, the same for the BOP Rams.(Cameron "U" type…

Your Thoughts On The BP Spill
I have started this blog as a place for everyone to post any off topic stuff concerning the Deepwater Horizon spill and efforts to contain it.
Some think BP is doing a good job-others think they are not doing enough.
Some appreciate all the efforts with containment domes and the likes while others call them crazy worthless time-wasting ideas.
