I've been working on fabricating a bulk barite mixer, looking for any advice. 5000 bbl system W/1350 bbl active system. running obm up to 21 ppg. right now bulk system dumps barite directly into hopper funnels causing tremendous dust and inefficient mixing.

Comment by Gerald Birt on October 2, 2012 at 5:07pm The systems I have worked with used a blower compressor set-up from a silo tank. The discharge hose dumped in the premix directly below the discharge of the hopper along with the fact that there were paddle mixers for the mud system.
